I woke up thursday, and thought, free house = all day gaming (:D)
so I started up my PC, loaded BF2, loaded up wake, clicked on 'Join Game' and my computer decided to crash.
so I pressed the Big button and my comuptuer turned off.
on restarting, It ran ChkDsk (I dont know what triggers this)
It crashed again while running ChkDsk (at about 10%)
I restart again, only to find a DOS error reading:
DISK READ ERROR - PRESS CTRL-ALT-DEL TO RESTART
This persists every time i turn on my PC.
Any Ideas? This means I will be inactive until I can buy a new HD. money is on the horizon so i may even get that new PC i have been planning.

You don't need a new HD. You just need to reformat.

You'll probably be able to save most of the data to. Just stick the HD in another computer and try and read it with Windows; like a secondary HD.
