this is a new development, my computer was working fine last night
this morning i turned it on .. and i get the screen which tells you your computer wasnt shut down proper like and gives u the
"start in safe mode"
and
"start normally" and a few others
well i have tried all of these options and they all after a few mins take be back to that screen
this has been going on alllll day :S
suggestions ?
Has it worked now? Or are you on a different PC?
Might as well stick it on Safe Mode and do a System Restore to a date when it worked fine. Should fix it, even if most of the time it seems to mess things up.
im on a diff comp when i run it on anything it just goes back to the screen with the log on options i.e safe mode ect
i have tried all of them many times so i cant get to system restore ..
My opinion would be, formate and check if all part are attached like they should be (processors, hardware, graphic gard and so on...), they can "loosen" like my friend got 0.001 fps and his graphic gard wasn't fully attached...

First, you might wanna transfer your HD to another PC and get all your important data off of it. That is, if it isn't corrupt.

LOL. this happened to me.
can't remember what I did though...
Oh yes, it was a new windows update that wasnt compatible with my Nvidia drivers, so I had to unistall both the update and the Driver, and install them both the other way around.
Mine involved the Blue screen of Death tho, does yours?
If So, tell us what it says.

it could be that but i didnt download a new update
unless it was automatic
it just runs in a loop goes to the "start from last know good config" ect then trys to log in as one of those
and just ends up back on the screen with the options

I HAD THAT PROBLEM!!!
when computer is starting up and goes to a loading screen hit F12 this should bring up settings on boot menu...wait now im con fused 
i had to take mine to PC technician cuz i buggered mine basically
