Topic: Any Ideas?

Right, I put together my PC. All going fine everything in the right place. Go and turn it on at the PSU and it powers up, LED on Mobo comes on. I turn it on at the power button and it starts up, Fans start spinning, graphics card LED and fan comes on, CPU heatsink fan starts spinning (which is powered by the mobo) and the HDD starts up.

However, there is no beeps and no signal to the monitor, graphics card is in properly and has enough power to it.

Any ideas? I'm swaying towards Mobo/BIOS failure.

Last time this happened to me the graphics card was broken, so that's my best bet.

I don't think so, because there's no damage to it and the fan goes. I highly doubt it the gfx. Plus there's no beeps if i just keep the CPU & PSU in the mobo.

did u check u had jumper settings on the motherboard correct some motherboard come with the jumpers set to clear the bios to prevent dmg in transit, which would cause the machine to start up but not do anything, so mayybe it would have been a good idea to check the motherboard amnual and how the jumpers are set.

i know this because i had the same problem pent days pondering it and then read the mobo book and found otu how to sort it in 5 secs.

Dead BIOS chip apparently, not sure if that was it or just an excuse.

Got it all fixed.
