I think so but I have to test it out a bit better yet. I tried pinging it to the router and got a few request timed out errors but no high lag spikes.

hmm I have a netgear wireless router and have never had a problem with vista 
I know this doesnt help you out one bit but meh.

I;m not entirely convinced though. You see when I ping to my router I get the lines of bullshit with time all as 1ms but sometimes it stops and goes request timed out but as far as I know the lag spikes can be seen as a huge increase in time eg. 600ms.
