The arctic freezer pro would definitely fit in that case. The front fans are ok where they are and there is a good couple of fans on the back. I think thats enough airflow through the case. With the arctic cooling aswell, it should be a nice and cool machine.

Right if this was me i wouldnt chance it with a dodgy registry such as this one. For future : do a complete reinstall, antivirus and system update, install all your programs, and  when you have a new clean syatem, make a ghost backup of the hard drive.

I use Ghost all the time. I can have a PC reformatted and back to original within 20 minutes.

Oh yes for god sake keep all your user data e.g documents, images, music, bf2 profiles, savegames etc backed up off the system drive.

The stock cooler for the core2 duo is pretty decent and quiet. If you can try to put a 120mm case fan on the intake vents inside the front of the case(sucking air in) and a couple of 80 mm fans on the back of the inside of the case (blowing out of the back), This will give you a nice airflow through the case and the CPU fan will not have to work as hard.

If you can post a couple of piccies of the inside of the case i could be more specific.
