It's freakin BS man. Nowadays the military is putting more funding for sniper weapons that are semi automatic. Hell, soon enough, semi auto sniper rifles will be banned from the public in the states. SO WHY IS THERE NO SEMI AUTO IN FREAKING 2142!?! WTF!?!
  Any good sniper knows the value of all the different sniper rifles. I happen to prefer the SVD Draganov mainly cuz I can get a ton of kill assists if there's a fellow sniper on the team with either the M24/M95/L96A1 without a clear head shot. I dunno I'm just pissed that the Sniper kit will not have a great role as squad leader in Battlefield 2142. Damn...we got hosed Tommy...oooooo darn sad

yeh , thats kinda gay. Partly one of the probs with SVD's / Type 88's is with aimboters . SVD + Aimbot = Unstoppable.

There is a semi-auto in 2142 u noob - the Zeller-H. Admittedly it doesn't have 10 shots like the shitty SVD but it does have 3 high powered shots that can take out most ppl if you're any good! And it has ZOOM! lol big_smile
As for the sniper kit in general - i think it's better on 2142 than on 2 - the stealth stuff is kinda lame but combining the special ops and sniper classed from 2 was a good move - its by far the best kit now and i just love sniping out claymores or C4's as ppl are putting them down rofl !!! (Except if you have north-strike which means you'll have the RDX shotgun for the support and that gun just pwns!) lol

i don't know about snipers in 2142, but nowadays snipers are powerfull (IRL) and they will get even more powerfull with technology...

Oh shit my bad. I didn't know about the Zeller-H. Naw, I actually got a chance to play around with my friends rifles quite a bit while I was in the military on my off time. As for 2142, I hated how practically every damn thing was an unlock. That and there was a lot less cooperation on the servers I was playing at the time; and even fewer with mics at all. sad Maybe I'll give it another shot. Probably not. There seems very little difference to BF2 although I only got 2 hours of decent play time. I hate the maps I played on. So lame.

I got an idea that Iceycold doesn't know how to use the SVD (AKA SUCKY SNIPER). I don't have much to brag about either though cuz half the time I get shit ass squad mates. As for the Zeller-H...wtf...3 shots? How many shots to kill an unarmored/armored? Yah, sure headshots pwn for any sniper rifle close/long range. However, the SVD has a mighty 10 shots that can down 3 enemies in a row if you get all of them with 2 leg shots followed by any other successful shot at close ranged combat/long distance very quickly and efficiently. If ya got a halfway decent team, you'll have some medic bags/ammo bags packed in a few areas to run back to and hold off entired squads with deadly SVD fire. SUCK MY BIG YANKEE BALLS ICY!!! big_smile Just kidding I love you man...I LOVE YOU!!! XO XO XO...
