Topic: Your view on the elections in America.

So, I was just wondering what you guys thought about the elections, you democrats or Republicans?
You liked Hilary, would you like to see her become vice-president etc.
Here are some interesting links big_smile.

Some more interesting links, here's the best example imo why McCain shouldn't become president, his speeches are just lol.
McCain's speech

How Hilary messed up inside the democratic party: Go Hilary!

And last but not least: my opinion big_smile.
If I would have to vote, I'd vote for Obama. Nothing to do with the fact he's black.
I can give plenty of reasons but the easiest ones are that Hilary and McCain just would be bad choices.
Now, the main reason why McCain would be a bad reason is because he doesn't know shit about economy, he's a military guy, not a president. His speeches make me laugh, but on the other hand, I really don't want to imagine what will happen if this guy becomes president.
Clinton just figured winning was more important than having the democrats look good.

Also, I respect (though I don't understand it) that Obama stands by this guy after this stupid speech.
Reverand Wright speech

So yeah, Obama evolves into president if it's up to me.

I know how to shoot a gun, my father was a Republican.

I think I can safely say that:

- I have no idea which parties the different candidates represent
- I have no idea what the different parties are
- I don't know when the election process started, if it has started
- I don't know when it ends
- I don't know how long a president stays in power
- I have no understanding of how the American election works
- I have no idea what the different political parties stand for
- I know nothing about the history of American presidency
- I don't care about any of the candidates personal lives
- I have no idea who I would vote for
- Other than odd snippets, I have not followed any of this on the TV news and in newspapers
- Most politicians lie about something, AFAIK. Either that or they avoid certain aspects the truth. No one's perfect
- Every politician/candidate probably says that they are the best

But, to say I don't care would be wrong, since the presidency of America and the decisions that America makes obviously has a profound effect on the rest of the world*. I hope that whoever is elected is sensible and makes the right decisions in the future.

Hmm but lets face it. no one wants them to go on all out war with anyone do they. Because it will results in nukes going everywhere and only the Aussies surviving and also cockroaches.
