Funny thing is that my XP got fucked up because of my Ubuntu Linux :S
first Grub was overwritten by Windows Bootloader, then I tried to restore it so I could use my linux again. Somehow my XP just didn't start up anymore after that... Had to use the Acer Recovery x_x

Im installing it atm...
Btw i heard it only works for people with XP as English, so if yours is any other language you should not download it.
Except if you use tutorial i found for this problem...
Edit: After reading some opinions about this, most of the things everybody agreed was...
Faster loading times!
FPS is more stable!
No noticable difference on small games like CS

P.S About Release Candidate if i understood right it would be something like...
Alpha version
Beta version
RC
And if there is not that many problems/bugs and other stuff with rc then it will be the last version of it.
Otherwise they fix the problems and release the "final" version of it

Well you can slate it all you want...but face it you WILL have to move to it at some point. And if not that then Windows 7 whenever it comes out which will take up more resources.

I should make new topic for this sp thing...
I tried to install sp 3 yesterday evening and it went really great untill it stopped to the half way...
It didnt crash and it was running, but it still didnt get any new outcome after doing it for 7 hours, so i had to crash it and after next restart windows recovered itself...
Lets see if i get my computer fucked and sp 3 installed...

Yeah maybe, still you aren't really "the computer guy", at least that i would know about it...
Biggest "mistake" on vista is the Need of power.
Also i heard they dont allow you to use kernel/memory like you can on xp, which is really bad for people who code programs...

Well I guess I dont use a computer to the full extent. If you just play games, listen to music and use net like I do it is Fine.
As far as programming and and coding goes....I have no fucking idea how it works for it.

There is also plenty of stuff to do, like set up your "lan" or play with the ips...
But that is only if you really need it, i had to do those things on school. Which reminds me from getting printers to work through lan, that was pain in the ass.
Well lets say our "commander" really failed at giving orders, & i wonder where our was teacher, probs drinking coffee somewhere.

It takes three friggin hours to install XP, update it and find all the proper drivers. It took 30 minutes in Vista

Wow then they learned from xp and made it better.
Thot i doubt you installed vista by 1st formating your hd and then putting cd in and then installing vista to it, when it only took 30min.

Playing BF2 on Vista:
- lots of lag, jerkiness and stuttering
- monstrous loading times and pauses
- fps: 20-50
Playing BF2 on XP:
- no lag, jerkiness or stuttering
- very small loading times
- fps: 80-100
^those are the differences on my comp with the same graphic settings (Turion 64 x2 1.8GHz | 1GB DDR2 | Mobilty Radeon x1300 384MB)
