Hi

As I'm sure some of the members of your clan that are going to I33 know, the eveil people at I33 have decided (although we're still protesting, never know your luck!) not to do a bf2 prize-funded tourny. (http://forums.multiplay.co.uk/showthread.php?t=55731)

However

I'm sure you, and many of the other clans (Battleforce AWOL Fury RD EWG WOOB ect.) are not too happy about this and would still be up for doing a fun, or say a £1 an entrant tournament.

I'm just posting here to check that you would be intersted in something like this, I if you have any ideas or preferences about what it would be (inf.no inf? no. in team, stuff like that)

We definitely want a BF2 tournament! I don't really care what sort of tournament it is, so long as we have one.

Reading through that topic, it seems that Multiplay are quite definitely not doing a cash prize BF2 tournament, but they seem to be for the idea of organising a fun one.

Quick, everyone from KNTL go register and post on the Multiplay forums!

Do you think if we nagged them enough they'd give in?
Or do you think they're sticking by this?

Personally I think if someone is doing a fun one it would probably be best for just a 5v5 infantry big_smile

maybe closer to time you guys or I can make a separate thread advertising it... and get some names down.
could probably do it on bf2s as well wink
IF we had enough interst (10 teams?) could do a similar routine to the pub quiz: £1 entry (per person, not per team tongue), winner takes all or a split.

some people in my clan would also be up for a peggle tournament big_smile If you know what that is and are intersted let me know!

um, well.
On average, seeing as i dont drink during the day:
From past expirience, 1 30cl* bottle will last me a whole night (that is, from about 7 til 5 in the morning)

sorry guys, gonna bring this back on topic for a bit.....

Liq you seem to have been nominated as organiser-in-chief and so you might wnat to think about a few diferent ways of doing the tourny.

The way i see it there are two main ways you could do it.... (If there are around 6-10 clans entering, and depending on how much time people are willing to play for.)

1)
2 leagues e.g if there were 8 clans, split them up into 2 groups of 4, everyone plays everyone in their group. This allows even weak clans to get in a good amount of play. Then the top 2 from each could go forward in a knockout semi-final, with the winners from each playing a final to decide it. (could even have a playoff for second)

2)
Classic tournament layout...draws for who plays who, simple knockout. Possibly then the losers from the first round could go into another tourny to do the same.

For the games themselves I suggest a 5v5 inf random map no rules cept unlocks off?
And money wise.... someone on I33 suggested £15 a team which sounded quite good. A fiver per person sounds a bit much but you could ask on I33 and see what people would be up for.
I also suggest if there is a big enough pot giving at least 3rd their money back, instead of winner takes all, but again see what you and people at I33 think.

So sometime soon it's probably a good idea to get a topic running on the I33 forums, seeing who's interested and what they think about the layout.
